Are these parasites sentient? Or are they just like infectious insects?
I'm very glad I haven't been infected with any of these yet. /Shudders./
They sound like a nightmare.

I had a haunted doll once. I got her at an antique store as a child, and she was stunning. I have no idea why my father bought her for me, because she was porcelain. She was also evil. That's true! In my experience they're more like different wavelengths, like sound. It would be like saying something high pitched is the opposite of a deep baritone, which does seem silly in that context, doesn't it?
