I've just started reading the free ebook The Energies of the Universe from Akelta's Black Magic website, and the following lines just blew my mind:

"Sending energy out to the spirit world when casting a spell is similar to ordering a package off of the internet: certain spells require an energy "currency;" therefore, the energy you cast out must match that of the spirit world. If these energies correspond correctly, your desires will be fulfilled."

In Hoodoo they're always saying that if a spell doesn't succeed it's because it's not justified in the eyes of God or is not good for you in the long run, that just made spell casting sound too random and unreliable. Akelta's explanation makes much more sense. I'd love to order the main book when my budget allows.

Your favourite Demon?: Astaroth, Lucifuge, Agaliarept, Thoth, Anubis, Sin
Location: The Universe

Personally, I find the best books to serve as training manuals for a beginner are:

1. Initiation into Hermetics (Franz Bardon)

2. Seven Hermetic Letters (George Lomer)

3. Psychic Self-Defense (Dion Fortune)

4. Practice of Magical Evocation (Franz Bardon)

5. The Illustrated Tree of Life (Israel Regardie)

In short though, some basic training to start with is:

- Develop your ability to concentrate on single things for extended periods of time
- Imagination of Sensory Phenomena (Imagery, Sounds, Feelings, Tastes, Smells)
- Will Power
- Trance-Induction
- Master different breathing (pranayama) practices
If you aren't breaking, you aren't doing it right!!!

Do you want power? Then approach your death!!

I know it's scary. Don't worry. That means it's worth it!

We recommend starting off with learning to focus and apply your concentration. For that we suggest the book: The Power of Concentration by Theron Q Dumont.

Once you have done and mastered those exercises, you can begin delving into magickal theory and practice, then you can check into the darker aspects, which deities to call upon, correspondences, ritual layout, incantations, sigils if needed, etc. A good reference book for this would be S. Connolly's The Complete Book of Demonolatry.

Good Luck!
thank you for your recommends to books and other things that can help you on your path

Start and end every conversation with laughter.

You might as well laugh now because you’re going to laugh about it when you're further down the road anyways.
