Irish Drought Unearths Ancient Henge

Hello everyone,

I recently stumbled upon this news that the weeks-long drought in Ireland may come bearing anthropological gifts... or a metaphysical warning. The theory is that the drought has deadened the crops in the area of this site enough to reveal what lies beneath the parched earth when viewed aerially. Similar occurrences have been reported in Britain.

While this is exciting for archeologists and those who study ancient cultures, there is an unavoidable sentiment for "why this, why now". There is some poetic irony that the drought, a devastating phenomenon familiar to Irish history and a catastrophic consequence of anthropogenic climate change, should reawaken the forgotten monuments of bygone times.
