I am relatively, (actually quite new) with Hecate (Hekate) so much so that I am still hoping to see her working in my life. Indeed she is Mother, Maiden and Crone. I have been in correspondence with an "Apollos Priestess Pythia" on ebay & she has been a tremendous influence and support guiding me along the journey. By the sounds of your comment IN MY INTRODUCTION SECTION you seem to have REAL personal experiences with Hecate as well. Would love to hear yours to. Wow ! Cool !

I do have many questions but just a few random thoughts & questions for now. See below:

1) Sometimes Hecate seems close sometimes she seems far - is this normal to feel this way?
2) Sometimes (while I try to believe she is at work) I have some doubts that she has seen and heard ALL my requests, goals, dreams, desires to her - etc.
3) Sometimes I feel I am not doing enough for her or even if what I am doing is pleasing to her or she even sees me and the things I do.
4) I want to really see her working with my requests - etc. Do you hear from her in a REAL way and have seen her working in your life - manifesting things in magical ways??

Because I am so new to her I suppose the analogy would be likened and compared to "as a little child" and "mother." Maybe you can shine some light on Hecate please. Thank you Priestess Alkelta. Look forward hearing form you.

Hi John! welcome to S&S ! I am so pleased to see a Hekate thread! I just love Her!
I hope you dont mind me hijacking your thread here, but I work quite closely with Hekate and thought i could offer my own perspective.
1)I think its normal for any deity to feel far or close at various times. They dont need to be up in our faces 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I think they come close to us when we need them most and call on them but when its time to stand on our own two feet and either use what they've taught us or experience something we need to, they will pull back a bit. Never to desert us, just to let us have our "human experience". Hekate is very powerful and obviously magickal and while she *could* in theory wave her hand and make us all knowing, all powerful, she wouldnt do that- she will guide you on your magickal path and help you along the way and sometimes that means her stepping back and letting you try something out for yourself. In short, yes what you are saying is perfectly normal with Her or any other deity
2) Yes, she will have heard all of your requests, dreams, desires, wants etc. but, just because She has HEARD them and is aware of them, it doesnt mean you will get them. Many times we DONT get things we so desperately want for various reasons. Sometimes it's because of blocks in ourselves that we need work on, sometimes that thing we want so badly just isnt in the cards for us at this point in time. Sometimes something even BETTER is right around the corner. They dont work for us, they work with us to achieve our goals. Sometimes we dont get it because we dont work hard enough for it or put enough effort in to achieving it. There are various reasons but thats the good thing about magick. It helps align the energies to your will. Hekate is a VERY good magick teacher. She will teach those who show initiative and desire. I have seen her manifest some things pretty darn quick in my own life.
3) She will see your efforts. In my own personal experience with Her and my own walk with Hekate- shes very motherly and dark. For me, she lets me make my mistakes then will tell me where I've gone wrong. Offerings I've given her : honey, candles, frankincense, blood (during rituals) an altar with bones decorating it, magickal items ive made, herbal mixes... I believe deities appreciate all offerings given to them and the energy and intent behind the offerings. even if you dont have much and can only offer one thing- if your intent is genuine, the offering is ten times better than one or a dozen given out of greed.
4) I have seen her manifest things in an amazing way in my own life and those of others. While Her purpose is not that of a genie in a bottle to grant wishes and desires, those she finds favor with generally are able to manifest many desires through Her guidance and help.

All of your replies to my questions are pretty much what Apollos Prisestess from ebay said to me. It is almost a double confirmation nearly word for word. Amazing huh? LOL

As you said the timing may not be right, obstacles - etc.

According to Apollos Priestess, Hecate is fully aware of my package with many, many requests, pictures, symbols, desires etc., (which I buried along the path on those New Moon nights last year.) She knows and sees all and is at work.

New Years Eve 2014 was not a coincidence IMO. Long story short I met a young lady 12/31 at the Casino who swept me off my feet in a very magical way ... to personal to share here and at length. Apollos Priestess said it was Hecate reassuring me she is at work. It was almost as if this complete stranger dark long-haired "latino lady" named Natalia was a succubus but she was physical for sure at the same time. LOL It was like way too good to be true if that makes sense? The following day "Natalia" left a voice mail, glad to meet me, to call her back but I could not call back as there was a *86 block on phone. Being a gent I did not ask her phone number that night. Apollos Priestess said Hecate is just letting you know she is aware and has not forgotten your requests and is working behind the scenes.

BTW do the PMs work here on this sight or do you need to be a member for so long before PMing is activated?

I guess I just need to be more patient with Hecate. )O(

Is Hecate similar to Astarte or Isis? I've worked with Astarte and Isis and received some benefits and information from them on magic, but nothing on Hecate.

I completely agree with what Anatel has said above. This is true for all that we work with and in my own experiences I have learned that I am better served by trusting in myself and taking the signs and opportunities given with open arms.

It isn't any deities job to do the work for us and sometimes they wait to show you the way until they feel you are ready, your readiness is highly personal and depends on many of the things Anatel has pointed out above.

Patience grasshopper, the best advice I can give. Believe in yourself and make your future happen, don't wait for it to happen..


@jhdea: I believe that to be true, but everyone has their own thoughts. You can trace each god through antiquity by pantheon, it's very possible these were all the same beings being worked with by different cultures and named accordingly. I find all of this very fascinating myself..

I'll try to contact her one of these days and ask her myself. It's very difficult to track the potential progressions of deities through history and the various cultures.

I'm a little late but I wanted to answer this. I apologize last year was a very busy year of transformation, I am working through to get fully caught up and I haven't forgotten anyone, I just like to make sure I answer things honestly and with meditation on them. To answer your questions.

1) This is very normal, at times I know many of the deities that I work there are times when they are right there almost walking with me guiding me and other times that they have stepped back to let me move forward. I see working with them as a process, sometimes they are there, sometimes they step back and let us stumble and learn, this is all part of the growth. Some I see very much like parents, they can't hold our hands all the time, sometimes we have to get out there and scape our knees.

2) From working with then when you have a connection to them they always hear us and they offer inspiration and guidance to get what we desire and sometimes they tell us what we need to do to get it. Like Anatel said, there are many reasons why we might not get what we desire, really I see working with them as like building a relationship, things go slowly and as you learn about them and work together you heal, you change, you grow and you move towards what you desire, the main thing is to stay focused and trust in them and trust in yourself

3) Exactly what Anatel said, though one thing I would like to add, I sometimes like to just spend time with them. with no requests just being with them and sharing the space with them and letting them know how much I appreciate them. Also some I like to just be with and have fun with, sometimes it can be the most healing and incredible experience to just invite your deity to be with you and let them know you just appreciate them for them.

4) I have seen many things manifest physically, I have seen some pretty powerful results and some little fun things like winning two baskets at a raffle, I make a note to appreciate everything that comes my way and just show gratitude for each manifestation.

Excellent reply Akelta. this last year has been a big year of growth and change for me as well, I have learned several things along the way and all that I have learned completely back/support what you are saying.

I have times, okay most of the time, where I don't have specific rituals or magical needs yet I believe in two way relationships, give/take. If i don't have anything specific I am doing or working on I still go in my little temple and I still do my normal routine. I just use the time for me and for them, to give them food offerings, blood offerings or just sit and write with them. This was the hardest thing for me to come to terms with, not everything has to be full on ceremony. I still struggle with this as I am very ritual oriented and super disciplined so enjoy having some way of being organized in temple. I have decided to do the Anunnaki gates again but in a different way, almost a phase 2 sort of way.

Everything I wanted to have manifested has happened and I need to now follow through with what has been given to me, so the time now is for me to step up and make it happen or stop asking for things I have no intention of following through on.

As for the stepping back, this is so very true and was really hard and sometimes still is hard to grasp. I want them there all the time, less about needing them for my day to day life and more about I enjoy how they feel. But I have learned they do have lives outside of me, I am not all that and a bag of chips and little birdie sometimes needs to be kicked from the nest...

' Thank you for your post on Goddess Hecate she's amazing to work with ' I Have only been working with her myself only a few Months but its been life changing for me having her to Work with just the few months that . I Have its also good

To read Others post who also Work with this Great Lady because She is one of a kind and Touches . The life of all who Cross paths With her you have had Good luck if your Still Working With Hecate she's one of ' the best Teachers you can have that's how its been for me working with her its been awesome in every way
