. . .
I am posting this for you tied to my post on the Inner Sanctuary. I think you will know what I am talking about.

Alternatively:

to summon the divine?"

I work in a grocery store and don't ask me how, but I got talking to a customer about this song and about whether or not the rather African-sounding words actually meant something, or if they were just made-up words that sounded good...
It stuck with me all day, so I looked it up when I got home.

Come to find out the words are Zulu, and the first line roughly translates to "Every Morning, You Bring Us Good Luck. You're a lion."
Now I'm thinking that I could adapt the words a bit to fit my Solar Saber of the Sun Inferno

That was beautiful!

Between what you said and then listening to the music. Definitely! It would be a beautiful, wonderful, and amazing way to build a connection with your new companion.

That part you wrote, " . . . and don't ask my how, but . . . " I think that was your companion reaching out and nudging you.

I would say yes, take the words of the song and adapt them more for your wonderful, new companion. I think it would work out amazingly well for you both to connect.

My experience is that when humans have an emotional component to their thinking, I have been able to sometimes pick up some of their thoughts when I am near them. I mention that because music often elicits emotion, and at times strong emotion. If I can just barely glean a little bit from that, imagine how much more our companions can do such things to connect with us in a better way.

I hope this helps you in someway and it works beautifully for you both.

I thought so, especially when I always have music in my head, so it would seem a good way to communicate

YES!! A spontaneous blue-sky comment from a total stranger about a 60+ year old song (that has a lot of the qualities of a magickal chant) leads to a discussion that almost seems intended to give me something to think about.
Plus, the fact that it stuck with me all day when I would usually be lucky to remember it for five minutes.
And... His name fits almost perfectly with Awim-bo-way

There was another old song that both she and the customer before mentioned that I haven't dug into yet...
