Meditation 3 - The Marketplace








After your spectacular date with your companion, it is time to embrace and explore
the Marketplace. There are so many little shows and food vendors. It has been
a while since your picnic and you find that you are hungry again. You venture
forth in search of food and also to explore the Marketplace and get
a feel for this exotic land.

Walking around you see a strange shop called Ogmal's Oddities. The Solar
demon working this shop has a strange aura to him. He looks wise and well
traveled. Ogmal is a Solar Demon Merchant who has traveled the desert far
and wide. He seeks out only the rarest and most unique items. He has been
the places and explored realms that most can only imagine.

He is one of those demons who knows everyone and he has connections to
all the tribes of the solar realms. He is increidble charming and personable
and one who can charm his way out of any situation. He has many friends
and is well loved nad respected by many demons. He also is incredible good
at cards, though don't play with him if you don't like to lose.

The places he has seen and the stories that he has to share. He is a demon
who has seen a lot and he understands the mysteries and hidden secrets of the
Solar Realms. He has traveled far and wide and as you walk up to his shop
you see he is unpacking...

Ogmal has a very special gift for you. During this meditation, you will
be able to pick a very special item from his travels. You only can select one
for this event for the one you select is the gift that you will receive. Your
first run through this meditation you will get to choose an item. That is the
gift he has for you.

I walk with Vazra through the market place. the scents of it is rich, spicey, and savory with hints of exotic sweetness. I'm famished so we stop at a stall where they are slow cooking meat on skewers. Not kebabs but more like shewarma as it is just thick cuts of meat stacked on the skewer and cooked (just on a smaller scale). Vazra purchases a skewer and we eat from it, pulling off chunks of meat as we walk. Everywhere there are sights to be seen. Brightly feathered birds and some sort of creature that long vaguely like a monkey with batlike wings that clings its demon companion. There are sand colored solar hounds everywhere. They have thick scales covering their lean bodies and long legs with thin long tails. They nose around, sniffing as they weave among those in attendance. Floating orbs are in several of the shops, and spinning material weaving around, glittering as if powered by magic. I'm particularly interested in the shop with several tall colums issuing clouds of incense smoke but we continue to our destination: the shop of oddities.

I enter and I look at the things presented with interest. Several of them tempt but I've acquired these things before in past solar events. The lotus flower shaped perfume bottle, the golden box, the vague tower-like sculpture of bones, they attract my attention but when he brings at the crown, I turn away. When I leave the shop it is with a small statue that I carry easily with one hand. It's of a demonness who appears to be gathering powering between her hands stacked in a box formation in front of her. She is rather simple in design and yet radiates power. I do not know yet why I chose her but I did and I continue shopping with Vakra. He buys me a dark necklace, some rare gem enchanted with a glimmer of light that dances within its dark depths, and we visit the incense shop where I acquire bags of fragrances. The scent I picked is rich and floral like a heavily floral night blooming flower with a hint of musk and spice beneath it. I'm pleased with my purchases and as we walk out a reddish cat slips around our ankles and disappears.

Though are so many lovely things to look at and I spend some time admiring enchanted mirrors . At some point I acquire an brilliant orange scarf that is wrapped almost completely around my black attired. It is quite sheer and yet blocks a surprising amount of sun. Another gift from Vazra. I look at many things until at last it is time to leave and we go.
