I was also thinking 'Meditation'. This is a skill to develop that will benefit you for years to come. Some of the things meditation will assist you with include: help you gain control of your mind, become familiar with your own thoughts, build your concentration to name a few. These also have ramifications in your day to day life - settling your thoughts, being able to respond rather than react, stablising your emotions etc. Being familiar with your own thoughts can also mean you get better at discerning what is from you, and what is not from you.
