That is the beauty of truth, it is illusive, everything is tainted through our personal experiences and lens, but, everyones truths can reveal pieces of the whole. Truth can be found in reading the tainted works and seeing the contrast and the contradiction, comparing it to what you sense and feel. This is why reading everything and anything you can, the good, the bad, the ugly, the Christian, the Satanic, and Pagan, is recommended in the beginning of ones spiritual journey. It can go a long way to revealing the answers you seek. When one starts on this path, the recommended course is to read everything. As you read and do the work with the Demons, you will begin to notice things, you will see things that feel off, things that annoy you, and things that just doesn't resonate with you. A good source for the beginner though; the esoteric works of S.Connolly. She was instrumental in brining Demonolatry to the public light and has written many books and articles helping those at many stages on the Demonolatry Path.

Her website is… http://www.demonolatry.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; … there are many pdfs to download.

Books to begin with...
The Complete Book of Demonolatry.. by S. Connolly
Lesser Key of Solomon (Also known as the Lemegeton or Ars Goetia)
Psuedomonarchia Daemonum — Johann Weyer
The Grand Grimoire — Alibek
Malleus Maleficarum — Heinrich Kramer
The Keys of Ocat - S. Connolly
Daemonolatry Goetia — S. Connolly
Modern Demonolatry — S. Connolly
Demonic Hierarchies — S. Connolly

Demonolatry's roots can be found in Hermetics, so any book on Hermetics that peaks your curiosity would be beneficial.

A very practical and effective way to uncover truth. There are a lot of great suggestions here, it would be interesting to resurrect this thread and offer more insights and resources to help people new to this community have places to explore and resources to read.
The first time I called myself a 'Witch' was the most magical moment of my life.
Margot Adler,

Just because I'm on a different path doesn't mean I'm lost.

Most witches dont believe in gods. They know that the gods exist, of course. They even deal with them occasionally. But they dont believe in them. They know them too well. It would be like believing in the postman.
