I agree with both of them, often one's reason for living changes as you grow and your perceptions change, especially when transitioning from child to adult. But I have a feeling you have already cast away your old reasons because they weren't sufficient and are now searching for new ones. It really is a personal journey.
Personally, I love knowledge and that has been what I've always been living for. It started off as an obsession with science, literature and mathematics. The frontiers of human knowledge. Now it's turned into an obsession with things out of the physical realm!
1-fear= first chakra
2-pleasure
3-fulfilment and value
4-love (unromantic)
5-knowledge
6-spiruallity
7-union
the most I resonate with is the last one ,I do feel I am more than one person and I got a reading about it which said I need to do soul retrieval ,I am now healing my missing parts from this and past lives
for now I will heal myself then help others ,I do believe we all are one
however when I find a better believes I will not hesitate to change
