I have been having a phenomenal week with all kinds of amazing things taking place. I am so grateful to my companions and gods!

Here's something with a little bit (more) to it:

I was running errands and shopping and listening to my favorite radio station. I was shocked when they announced, "Celebrating 50 years of hip hop, rap, and R&B."

I thought about it because I remember when it was new. And yes, I'm in my 50s. I guess if you don't die, you will eventually get there. LOL

So to celebrate, here are some iconic songs from those early days:

I remember being at my 25th Class Reunion and everybody was talking about grandkids
I couldn't imagine anybody I went to school with being old enough to have grandkids!!
Now that I'm checking people's IDs, I'm starting to realize that some of those grandkids are old enough to buy beer.

I don't know too much about Hip Hop (although I did have a buddy who was into Rap in the 80's), so I'm gonna stick with what I know
