All good good!
Here's something newer, more recent. While she was hip hop, Rihanna has not "crossed over" as I know; she seems to blend genres. I'm not an expert, maybe someone else knows more. But I do love her music and have been inspired by it.

Sister Sledge was good for that... Not quite the Disco sound of the 70's, not really the Girl Band sound of the 80's, but rather an almost Show Tune sound that was uniquely theirs, somewhere in between.

Oh My Gods! I have not heard this song in forever! LOL And, I remember it, too.
I remember being in a disco, and they played it as a song between songs.
Growing up with and loving Disco is why I think I love Trance music so much. It is my top favorite music genre.
Two or three in one Dragonoake!

It was quite popular in the mid-70's.
I remember my 8th-grade music teacher playing it for us, and it may have even been on American Bandstand
For those not old enough to remember American Bandstand, it was the MTV of the 60's and 70's
I swear Dick Clark is immortal, he looked the same in '59 as he did in the 80's.
Maybe that why they called him The World's Oldest Teenager

Never been in a Disco. By the time I had a girlfriend, they were long gone, and the building that used to be the Disco Den had become a bingo parlor.
If you're a Disco fan, you'll remember this one from about the same time.

Yes, I remember American Bandstand and Dick Clark. Some good memories there!

No, they did not last that long oddly. But, I was young when I went, under 10; my mom took me.
