Don't know if this belongs here but if it doesn't I would like it moved.

Would you say all metals or most metals in general are seen as bad by paranormal beings and if so why/how? Would they being blunt vs sharp make any difference? What would effect would Bronze have, Iron, Steel and so on?

I heard somebody say that Odysseus scared off spirits attracted by a sacrifice when he brandished his sword and pointed it somewhere (Which was actually in the Bronze Age). Do you think he used the Mycenaean Bronze Swords you see on google and on websites or Wrought Iron?

Should a person who wishes to avoid scaring off spirits and beings that are repelled by iron use bronze tools? With iron and steel can they tell you are not carrying the objects to harm them somehow or they sense something they don't like and go away anyway?

What would happen if the steel/iron was something like a blunt object, a gun, bullet or part of what somebody wore on them back then (e.g. chest armor or boots)? Would the general presence of iron still make some beings uncomfortable or it must absolutely be bladed? What would happen if you had a bronze knife, machete or spear?

More importantly do you think the sharp metal object (For example if its steel) being in a sheath or not matters in reality?

To add it seems like there are very few documented cases of people who own iron/steel swords, knives or spears/pole weapons in their bedroom experiencing attacks, if at all.

Especially if some people in the past once slept with them sheathed or not at their side once.
