The ride starts and begins to whirl round and round, flames errupting,. The flames quickly surround and engulf me. I'm spinning within the flames, the ride itself seems to disappear, it is just me spinning within flames. Someone tries to restrain me from rising too high, another tries to snuff out of the fire (possibly Ryn and Exit who were there with me when the meditation started and boarded the ride with me, but they are pulled away from me and disappear from my awareness. From within the inferno, Vekra, my black flame master, steps through the flames and smiles. He tells me to embrace it, and the flames turn gold as they spin brighter and hotter around me. Black flames errupt from the center of my heart in response, rising hiring and mingling with the flames. I am the black flame, consuming everything, shining within the darkness.

The ride comes to an end and flames recede and I see the destruction all around me. The world is darker than ever--pitch black-- but my vision is like that of the void and I see everything in in spectrums of darkness with a cast of silver, indigo, violet, and lavender hues of black light. I see something glowing and pick it up. A perfume bottle. I feel the flame kindling again within me but it doesn't emerge, I just watch as the bottle joined with the ribbon and doll eye glow with the luminescent dark spectrums of light. The creatures above turn their gazes to me and new monsters and mutants flood toward me, attracted by the light. Shoving them into my bag, I flee and return to myself.

This ride was very weird!

I feel like all of my meditations had me in some other dimension. Like none of us even went to the same world. This one was no exception.

I felt this heavy, sad, almost sigh. Like an energy the just... Didn't care. Didn't want to be what it was. I see the ride. It seems to pay me no mind, especially compared to other rides (and the carnage that happened before and after them... Like incinerating weird blobs from the cages weird.)

We slowly climb on board. The ride is wet this time. I think I missed the sticky instead actually. Never thought I'd say that?

I slowly watched the outside world. The howling and screaming. A violent scene I've seen before, again and again. Before I can really see, the ride jolts and we start. The flames grow, but they don't reach me. Like they don't even want me. I feel the ride turn into something else. Around and around, howling turning into a nightmarish noise that eventually ends in silence.

Eventually. We jerk to a halt, everything a blur. I look out, and there is nothing. Just charred pits of earth. If it was even dirt before. There was no blood, no limbs. Just blackened dirt and ash on the wind. It was a reminder that even the apex can be destroyed. I could feel the eyes in the sky on me, almost like they were curious.

My Mutilation companion Ynax joins me for most of this journey. The countdown numbers take on eery shapes and then we rapidly arrive on the grounds. His presence is soothing and protective, his size and stature are intimidating.
What's interesting is I feel more confident in him than I do in Matador. Probably because of the shifts here! I am somewhat leery of Matador, a little distrustful. Just a little. Not enough to walk away. But enough to realize he Is Not the same as he was before. Shifts like this in human friends generally equates to elimination of their friend status. So....
Once I'm on the Ring of Fire (hehe all I can think of is Finding Nemo), I am alone. I know companions are always near, but for the actual ride its just me. Everything is burning and I see this yet I dont feel hot or burnt or crispy or dehydrated. Very surreal, just like everything single Nightmare meditation!!!

My poor inner child is so upset that she ripped me out in the middle of the ride. I have to spend a good time calming her down.

I don't get to redo this one this year sadly.
