Celebrating and embracing the Divine Feminine***Sexual Topics Discussed***
Akelta: Tonight’s topic is on the Divine Feminine. The divine feminine is very important; it is one of the reasons why ancient cultures like the Egyptians were so spiritually advanced…balance. The Divine Feminine, it is a very important part of our world, universe and everything, and yet in our society is banished, shunned, and suppressed. If we look to some of the most balanced and ancient cultures, that held technological and spiritual superiority to what we have today, there is one thing all these cultures had in common. They were balanced between the masculine and the feminine and celebrated and allowed the divine feminine to be an integral part of their world. Then we entered a dark time, an age where the Divine Feminine was sealed off and repressed. We lost ancient knowledge because the nature of the Divine Feminine is fluid and passed down orally, and when we were silenced, all that knowledge fell silent with it. Our society plugged into darkness and the Goddess was Burned and banished. Don’t worry; I will bring demons into this, for those of you that are used to me speaking about demons and darkness. The Dark ages were an abysmal time for humanity and women, a time of oppression and repressed spirituality. We were confined and bound to rules and regulations of a masculine dominated era, unbalanced without the divine feminine. There is nothing wrong with masculine energies, but there needs to be a balance between the two. Both halves create a powerful whole that needs to be honoured and for a time in our history. The Divine Feminine was repressed. Forced to submit instead of allowing herself to shine in a radiant light.
arianna: I don't believe that in our time the divine feminine shines exactly, but anyway
TheInsidiousOne13: It is being restored though, slowly but surely
Nyctophilia: Arianna... maybe it doesn't... but it's building up steam, yes?
TheInsidiousOne13: many of us here at this time in history are here specifically to mend and heal the Divine Feminine
Akelta: This is true, we have entered into a new age and the Divine Feminine has awoken, and this balance is taking shape and entering this world transforming it and reawakening the sleeping spiritual abilities we all have hidden in us. Women especially are feeling the essence of empowerment, and seeking to balance this new power that is rising with them, to the convinces of our changing but still restrictive society.
arianna: yeah. I just believe that a great number of women don't channel the divine feminine; they just jump through hoops to increase their masculine energies instead.
Akelta: That is true; a lot of women don’t embrace their feminine side. A lot of them don’t know how as the structure of society at the moment does not allow it. SO what is this divine feminine energy? It is the essences of creation, every women has the power in her body and understands this powerful force. The feminine essence can craft and manifest, and a women who has embraces her inner goddess can command and create her world.
TheInsidiousOne13: Transparent, Ethereal, Ephemeral. Whereas male energy is more grounded and base.
Akelta: Feminine energy is present around conception and birth, it can tap into and reveal the great mysteries of the soul and breath live where there is none. This powerful creation force exists all around us. Look at the act of childbirth. A mother gives her blood and her body and her life to create another. The essence of divine love, which fuel the feminine fire.
Nyctophilia: Once, we believed that the only true way to Divinity, to even COMMUNING with divinity, was through a woman. She was the Altar, and you worshiped at her thighs. Union with a woman was how we found god.
Akelta: Exactly what Nycto said. In cultures where the priestess rules and the balance between masculine and feminine was met childbirth was a sacred time of creation and life. It was a time to celebrate and awaken. Communities would gather and women would aid their sister in the birthing process.
TheInsidiousOne13: This is one reason why Baphomet's horns have a Woman in between them.
Galadraal: so what happened?
Nyctophilia: Men found out that their seed was part of how babies were made, and that women weren't the only vessels that contained life... so the Fall began.
Akelta: @ Galadraal, we plunged into a dark time, the Divine Feminine was repressed and caged, and we lost basically half of ourselves. Ironically when we were repressed and the church took over and priestesses were burned as witches, women and childbirth were also seen as sinful. For it was women who tempted us and gave us sin. Women in the dark ages were forced to give birth alone in a cold room told they were filth and this very act was sinful. It was a horrific time and many women died as a result of this shame and abuse.
Galadraal: they called the women's monthly cycle "the curse” even my Mom told me that at that age, that it was Eve's curse to women
arianna: In Hermetic philosophy, the male energies are considered the "will", what initiates something, while the female energies are the receiver, what actually brings the will into manifestation
Akelta: To the Church women were responsible for sin, not just once, but twice. Lilith and Eve, so women were seen as sinful and cursed.
Nyctophilia: The idea that a man's seed is sacred but a woman's womb which does all the real work is corrupt is... just weird to me. A man's seed when spilled on the ground does nothing. A woman's menses when spilled on the ground still creates life... it fertilizes roses very nicely, did you know?
fire083: it was once believed that the only way for man to make contact with the divine was for him to engage in ritualistic love making with a woman. In the instant of the orgasm he achieved contact
TheInsidiousOne13: look at many famous women who were maligned in history as harlots, heretics and the like. Marie Antoinette, The Magdalene, and Joan of Arc were very powerful and influential and the patriarchals sought to vilify them
Akelta: Lilith is a powerful symbol of this time. She desired only to be treated as an equal. To be seen at par with man. When they tried to dominate her she rose with the power of the feminine divine. For women have access to that power and she freed herself from domination and submission and refused to bow down. She left and discovered the Demons who accepted her feminine power. She stayed a Goddess. Actually a scene in 300 really spoke to me, when the Queen said a Sparta women could be present at the meeting cause only Spartan women gave birth to real men. There is truth to that, when men and women stand in power and are true to themselves and honor and respect, both are powerful and no one should be repressed.
Nyctophilia: The thing is, the Apple is a symbol of the Goddess, and so is the Snake - the Fall is a symbol of us deciding we wanted to learn things for ourselves, we wanted to discover ourselves, and we couldn't do that by staying ignorant and innocent, we had to gain free will and choice... the Fall of the Goddess and the Corruption of Her symbols is one thing, but the Fall of Women because all of us decided as One People to leave the garden and learn wisdom through free will as the Gods offered us is a greater corruption of the legends.
darklordmidnight: Snake, a symbol of rebirth and rejuvenation
arianna: I don't know, to be honest, all this fall stuff and the sin starting from a woman never made sense to me. I just can't see how anyone would willingly operate within such a paradigm.
Akelta: @arianna, yeah it cause a lot of death and pain. What is a very interesting thing to point out. Demons, Demons have a very interesting respect for females and their energies. They also "feel" per say and were considered damned. Caused then embraced hedonism and also allowed Lilith to be on top during sex. They stayed true to their true masculine power and worshiped the goddess.
TheInsidiousOne13: just like how Easter symbolizes Fertility and rebirth...but was jackmoved to represent the risen christ-figure
Akelta: @Insidious, yes! Easter Ostara. Well the story of Lilith it fascinated me, cause Demon males have always had this incredible masculine power to them and it is because they are not afraid to bow and worship their goddesses or demonesses. Then there is Beltaine, glorious orgy filled Beltaine.
TheInsidiousOne13: There is a good theory that the 60's and the whole free-love movement was meant to usher in the whole New Age earlier than projected. But the powers that are introduced lsd, and the other hallucinogenics and std's and the like to stamp it out.
arianna: It's like, there are a gazillion things you can chose to become in this world, and of all these things, people decide to become sinners who pray for salvation??? Who consider themselves evil because they were born? It sounds like a huge waste of resources to me.
Akelta: @Arianna, yep I agree, a huge waste of time, and omg if you want to get angry at the church, read Hypnobirthing and what happened to women and how women giving birth were considered disgusting and they needed to be isolated and doctors who attended women were considered jokes.
Nyctophilia: I never understood the whole I need salvation thing. The whole "This guy committed suicide so he could be punished forever because I'm guilty of things I haven't done yet even though I haven't been born yet," bs... is really warped and twisted.
arianna: It's not actually a matter of religion to me, or a specific religion. It's more like, you heard this stuff and you chose (emphasis on chose) to believe it? Like, for real?? I personally don't believe in sin. Not in the way most people mean the word. I believe in guilt as a feeling, but I don't believe in sin.
Nyctophilia: So, we have Apple - Fate/Goddess/Choice/Free Will - OUR CHOICE. We have Snake/Goddess/Shakti/Rebirth/Rejuvenation/Wisdom/Connection with the Divine Feminine - Again, the Divine Offering Us A CHOICE - and a Priestess offering a People an Apple, and the People saying YES, let us leave this garden and go and discover the world beyond the veil. Let us put on clothes of flesh and blood, and play the game of life, let us fall into humanity and play with free will... And now we have a legend of a woman being lied to by a devil and we have sex being perverted, etc. Sick and twisted and evil and wrong - all wrong. All warped... just so one view can have power over everyone. Sick.
Akelta: I do think though that Lucifer or the snake being (there are many theories who the snake was) in the garden freed Eve.
darklordmidnight: No, I would imagine, at most, that lucifer showed Eve what she was capable of, and let her embrace her own divinity
Nyctophilia: I think that the snake was the Goddess. I don't think it was Lucifer... I think that's a further twisting of the mythology... they wiped the Goddess out of the picture entirely. Which is very wrong.
Akelta: Some say if was Lilith in the garden who freed eve. Actually I like that story the best, of it being Lilith. Freeing her sister from oppression
darklordmidnight: Maybe it was all of the above. Lucifer, Lilith, and The goddess
Akelta: For those who walk with demons understand the balance of the masculine and the feminine and that for men to embrace pure masculinity they must honour the divine feminine and for women to claim their feminine power both must be balanced. It is a beautiful thing when these energies are both allowed to flourish, it created a space where spiritual and material meet and we enter a unified, balanced existence. A place where both thrive and embrace each other, masculine and feminine together. Masculine energy suffers as well when the feminine is oppressed, for without the spiritual component it walks blindly. The wisdom of the feminine combined with the masculine consciousness will create a wholeness that will heal us.
darklordmidnight: Men and women both have aspects of the other, you can embrace the feminine as a man and still retain your male power or you can embrace the masculine as a woman and still retain your feminine power
Akelta: @darklord, yes very true. There are balances between the energies. Though in this world now the divine feminine is awaking from eons of repression and we need to find that balance from a place of both being honored and respected.
eLuceo: a man that embraces his divine feminine turns me on
Akelta: A return to source, a stripping away of falseness to truth, actually that is interesting and can take a shamnic element to it. They walked the path to awaken and had to suffer till the awakening.
Nyctophilia: We have to be careful, though... not to swing the pendulum too far the other direction. Like the Dianic covens on the West Coast did. That doesn't work either.
Akelta: Balance is the key
TheInsidiousOne13: During the time of Athena and the 96 this realm saw the rise of out-of-balance Feminine. Much like we are seeing with the masculine currently. That was not a very good period of time either
Galadraal: being out of balance is never good
Akelta: No, when you are out of balance, it causes so many issues. The divine feminine is around us though and that is why we are shifting and becoming more spiritual the goddess has awoken. It is sad though. Much of the oral tradition is lost, but through some wise elders we learn that in the past we had great abilities, and a powerful spiritual understanding. Some say that the ancient Egyptians had 360 senses, and that we could hear and work with the gods as if they were standing next to us. Our vibration was very high, the energies are returning to that place and all we need to do is quiet ourselves and listed and embrace a heritage that we have forgotten. So we see in the past our potential and what we can move towards. I have studied a lot about the Egyptians and there are some very amazing things about their culture which we are just learning about. Their spiritual side and that they knew even more than we did.
Nyctophilia: Akelta... people are learning a lot by studying the old mythologies.
Akelta: @ Nycto, I agree, the mysteries of the past can reveal amazing truths. The ability of the ancients is within us. One of the reasons the LHP is shunned and also not really understood, lol is those on the left hand path do not banish and condemn the physical world, we embrace it, and free ourselves from oppression and what limits us. There are many paths and many ways to do this, one is to merely listen and hear what your cells and body are telling you and what is vibrating in the energies all around you, the messages from you spiritual companions. Being fully aware and present in the moment, not allowing the past of the future to sway your thoughts. being present and just listening without judgment. Full attention.
Nyctophilia: Akelta - I agree that the wisdom of the ancients is within us. I think we have a lot of genetic memories we can recover if we stop and listen... but not only that, if we stop and listen to the collective unconscious and the spirits of the others around us - trees, stones, animals, etc. we can learn much that is thought to have been lost. Studying the myths and legends will help put that information into context, but our own interpretations can personalize it.
Akelta: @Nycto, yes I agree, we have to dig deep because there is a lot that can cover it.
Drake: Everyone in the past pretty much knew more than we did if you ask me; we're living in some sort of blackout age.
Akelta: @drake, yes we’re living in an age where we were spiritually blind and we had forgotten. We are waking up though and for some it is painful. There is resistance because we are letting go of eons of genetic and energy programming. It is a transition but it is happening.
Akelta: Self-love is another way, ironically something that we struggle with most. Most of us are hard on ourselves and have issues with ourselves. Getting away from competing with other women and beating each other up for not measuring up to fantasy perfection. Embracing ourselves and loving ourselves for who we are and the uniqueness that we offer. This is important for women and allowing them to embrace their own goddess and divine feminine. I actually have been on a journey of self-love and it has been the hardest, it is like the binds run so deep in our culture it is almost second nature to attack ourselves.
Nyctophilia: Society kinda teaches us to be the perfect wife, the perfect mother, the perfect hooker, and the perfect secretary, the perfect checkbook balancer, the perfect shopper, and the perfect model... all the while making sure that we'll never achieve any of that. So... we all hate ourselves and each other. AND the nurture never happens.
Akelta: @Nycto, yes this is a big issue, the divine feminine is about nurturing, nurturing ourselves and others.
Eilana: I hear imperfectly perfect all the time too from demons... lol I have a problem with perfection
arianna: As I've mentioned before, I wasn't even aware as to what extent I didn't love myself
Akelta: @ari - same here. @Nycto, the perfectionism is another societal ingrained meme that binds us. @Eilana, yes, you are perfect just the way you are, Unsere said that to me as well, she said STOP trying to be perfect and just embrace you for you! Repetition I don’t think is a bad thing. Apparently we need to hear things at least 7 times before it sticks
eLuceo: but men is the main cause of issues in women, MENtal problem, MENtrsual problem, etc lol
Galadraal: sorry, E but I think WOMEN are the main problem for women, the backstabbing, bitching and whining
vixen: i think the main problem for everyone is themselves, it's not an outside source that causes such destruction to the mental self...sure they influence it but what repeats those imperfections back to you 24/7
Akelta: @vixen, yes! We mirror what we don't like about ourselves in others. Which Nycto talked about yesterday, but in the end it is about the self.
Galadraal: yes, Akelta; we see our faults in others which is what we dislike in others but we don't realize it is our self we see that we dislike
arianna: that's why it made no sense when Azazel told me to observe as a response to my question on how to love myself more. Then I realized how twisted were the stories I was used to tell about myself, compared to reality. How some things I've desperately wanted HAD happened to me, but they didn't fit with the twisted story, so I unintentionally edited them out, and then totally forgot they had even happened.
Akelta: @Ari - YAY Azazel, Azazel has helped me so much as well, he has a way or wording things.
arianna: Simple example, I kept saying no man has ever brought me flowers a few weeks ago, and also wondered why I had suddenly remembered a professor I had back in college. The man suddenly was on my mind 24/7 for days! Well, guess what! He had brought me flowers from his garden, but I had forgotten all about it cause my story was "no man has every brought me flowers"! So this was the meaning of observe. No need to change anything, just observe instead of repeating a story that isn't even true to begin with!
Akelta: @ari- we are the stories we tell ourselves.
vixen: It's true, it's crazy how much can be warped through memory & perspective through self-hate
Akelta: @vixen, yes and when we indulge memories of self-hate we can create major patterns that reinforce and dominate our thoughts with self-hate.
Akelta: So, Women, well we have been repressed for a long time. We were seen as the inferior sex, the evil sex, the ones who needed to be controlled, the ones who were responsible for original sin. There are a lot of memes running around about our evil nefarious ways. There are some men who actually fear women, it reveals the imbalance in the masculine energy. A man who fears a powerful women who is in control of her sexuality and femininity is not in his masculine element. So women are meeting with oppressions from embracing and stepping into our power. But the more we do the better it will be for all. Cause a woman who is balanced can provide nurture to the masculine energy and allow him to embrace his true masculine nature. A man who can rule his world and bow to his woman.
Drake: So masochistic men who like being stepped on all over by women are the superior men?
Akelta: @ Drake, it is not all about that. There are varying degrees; everyone is an individual, everyone likes different things, and everyone, just like the shades of light and dark, have a balance they personally need to meet. But as long as the feminine energy is oppressed we will be unbalanced because we will never find that balance. This journey really is about self-discovery.
darklordmidnight: My thought, Why do we bow to those who are equal, respect, love, but why bow
Nyctophilia: Kelis... bowing is a sign of respect. Bow to each OTHER.
Akelta: This balance is not just found in heterosexual relationships. Gay couples find their balance as well, and they fine that essence in them. This is not about gender, as there are many men who are balanced being more feminine. This is an individual journey, and yes, bowing to each other. There is so much power in surrender and bowing.
darklordmidnight: One is neither superior nor inferior to the other
Akelta: Surrender and just feeling is the essence of the divine feminine, being able to just let go and surrender. It actually opens up many doors and removes blocks instantly.
eLuceo: bowing doesn't mean blindly worship or giving your power away, it is just showing respect to something you cherish
Nyctophilia: I bow before my altar. I bow before myself. I bow before the earth, the trees, the stones, the stars, the universe, the elements, I bow before my friends when I greet them... I bow before my husband and he before me. We are equals all. It is respect and admiration of the Divine within All. Namaste.
Galadraal: orgasm is a form of surrender, I think
Akelta: Orgasm is, completely releasing yourself and letting go.
Nyctophilia: I'm good at orgasm... not so good at surrender in any other form... Got to get better at that. *sigh*
Akelta: You can merge your sexual energies and awaken your sexual centers allowing the energy to flow, surrender to yourself in the your own pleasure (not just from an orgasm, all pleasure) and it opens up the energy centers.
Galadraal: I think that is why I can find orgasm difficult; so hard to just let go
TheInsidiousOne13: The last 2 times I orgasmic I was seeing Occult symbols and Allegory, it was that intense.
Akelta: @Galadraal, that is interesting. Ok while we are getting to the good stuff, I actually have no issues with orgasms. In fact I can multi. I just let go and release myself to the energies. This is when we can really surrender to the divine feminine. We are goddesses and the energy flows.
eLuceo: "divine feminine gives multi orgasms. sign up for 1 today!"
Galadraal: I can multi too (in the right circumstance) but I sometimes find I'm holding back, like I'm afraid to let go
Nyctophilia: I can multi... but I'm just sucky at letting go of control everywhere else in my life. Like I said... got to get over that.
Akelta: It is interesting to note some women have trouble with orgasms and letting go, releasing themselves to their feminine energies and just letting go.
arianna: I have trouble with orgasms when with a partner. Alone, I'm doing great, lol
Nyctophilia: I can multi and still think straight. That's the weird part.
Akelta: I have a good sense of energies and controlling them, that leads to the multiple ones, practicing controlling them and just allowing them to flow.
Galadraal: yes, Akelta, that is EXACTLY it
I over THINK everything, even orgasms
Akelta: Overthinking, yes,
Nyctophilia: "Oh, I must remember to......" "There's dust on the ceiling..." Grr. Overthinking isn't even the beginning of it.
Akelta: emotions and just feeling that is more feminine
Galadraal: I try to scream louder because that excites my husband I find I can't cum until my man cums
Akelta: Cuming together can be fun, mixing the energies and allowing them to build on each other.
TheInsidiousOne13: my Girl likes it when I scream. She does things to make it louder.
Galadraal: Cuming together is amazing when it happens
Nyctophilia: Akelta... I had this one experience with my husband that made me really understand about the whole Divine Merging - where we actually DID merge during orgasm... it was like I slipped my skin and we were one white glowing being of energy for an instant. It was beautiful... but that's rare. Usually it's just mindblowing orgasms and then I'm distracted and up and going again.
Akelta: @ Nycto, that is awesome! I have been there with Dracon and oh the sensations that flood your body, on all levels, *swoon* I find that it is empowering to silence the mind, and just step into my emotional body, just feeling and letting go of thoughts and logic (though that took me years, my mind is analytical, lol) and I find when I do this I center and become present. The haze clears and the answers can be found.
arianna: I always have this feeling of merging with my boyfriend, but not necessarily have an orgasm too to merge
Akelta: @ari- yes it is not all about the orgasm, though that is one way, you can merge without it
Eilana: I had a hands-free orgasm once during tantric/sexual meditation. It was amazing... all I could think was 'this must have been how the universe was created' and I have no idea what that means lol that's how I felt though
Akelta: @Eilana, that is awesome as well. LOL I did that once, and found out it was my incubus stimulating me. Cheeky demon. You touch on a great point, creation energy, yes that is the energy that is found in our sexual centers. The power of the universe being created.
Galadraal: I try to do that Akelta but I sometimes find I'm thinking about the laundry that needs doing and that kinda depletes the mood LOL I guess being married and having sex about twice a year does that
Akelta: @Galadraal, I would go insane with that little sex, but yeah it can be challenging to silence the mind.
Akelta: I conjured an Incubus at 15 because I needed relief. I cannot go that long without sex. It is so awful that sex is shamed in our society, we are taught to repress it and that it is bad, but it is such a powerful expression of femininity and surrender and energy and it is beautiful.
Akelta: Being true to yourself and just celebrating that you are a woman and that you are worthy and an amazing goddess capable on creating life, and have amazing gifts to share with the world. Really not being ashamed of yourself and feeling like you have to be meek and small, denying what you have and the information you can share. Spirituality, being in tune with nature is very feminine. Releasing all the wild women and just allowing yourself to feel sexual as well. Women have been told they are to be sweet little angels, look at society a women who is promiscuous is called a whore.
eLuceo: also menstrual blood is very powerful in spell casting.
Akelta: Hypnobirthing philosophy is that childbirth can be painless. When you relax and breath into it and allow yourself to embrace your feminine side Actually doing the Hypnobirthing class was so empowering. I broke the trance at the end, ops, but most of my labour was fine.
eLuceo: @Akelta I agree, I read some cultures ancient times ago childbirth was a joy, not suffering
Akelta: @eLuceo, yes! The cultures that celebrated the feminine divine
Akelta: Tonight’s topic is on the Divine Feminine. The divine feminine is very important; it is one of the reasons why ancient cultures like the Egyptians were so spiritually advanced…balance.
