Haven't been around for a while, but hope to be around more. I was actually wondering of different ways to balance yourself in your path and your daily life activities, and other career related studies. I know of myself that I can get real excited about starting and learning something new, than putting all my energy into that one area until it tires me out, and makes me lose interest for a while, then get back to it at a later time. I've had this balance thing come back to me quite a few times in the past, and thought it would be a good learning point, or I'm finally beginning to hear the demons I've meditated on in the past, as in what they are wanting me to learn. Even though I haven't been paying any attention to them, they still seem to having been paying attention to me

Welcome back ^-^
I actually tend to do this too, or rather I don't get sick of doing things, I just find I want to do too much at once and, well, I can't lol
For balance... pick one thing you want to do and commit to it. Just one thing to start, don't overextend yourself (lol speaking from experience here). Do that one thing daily and pick an amount of time to do it. Once the time limit is up, stop. This will take discipline to both do it daily and only do it for the set amount of time and not longer. (I do have to stop myself sometimes from spending more time on things because I get so into them, I go too long and burn myself out).
Of course it doesn't have to be daily. It can be whatever you want. Also, make it fun. If it's something you hate, you're probably going to get bored and lose interest. I would LOL

Totally agreed Eilana, we all tend to do this when we are seeking this perfect way to do things. I am in the same boat and actually just had a profound moment last night when i realized I don't need to find a way to integrate two totally separate pantheons into one system, I can do both.
I started a 30 days of Magick or spirit work process using S. Connolly's system and it really helps to have things organized. I agree, pick a demon or demons, a process and commit to it, journal all that you do and the reactions you get or don't get so you can learn as you go...
Keep us posted and I will do the same

Always nice to know when you're not the only one having trouble with something. Will keep ya'll updated, just restarted reading the book I was reading to continue my studies on demonolatry.

perfect place to start Soul, I do the same things actually. When i am feeling overwhelmed I go back to my basic books and re-read to remind myself of the important little steps that I often take for granted. Good work.
And no, you aren't alone and I agree, it's actually nice to know that I too am not alone in my workings. I also find myself wanting to take time out from temple, I go Mon, Tues, Wed and Fri and the other nights I spend with joanne. I don't do full big rituals everynight of course, but I do honor everyone, i do invite them into my space and just often meditate with them, write in my journal, do divination etc. And the hardest part of this is my letting go of this notion that every night needs to be lightening and thunder.
Keep at it, there may be a reason you were guided to look back through things and take a breather. If you have any breakthroughs please share, and i will do the same...

You're definitely not the only one, lol! I don't think it's bad, so long as it doesn't prevent you from doing other stuff you need to do. Cause I often get so much into a given thing that I end up neglecting other stuff I need to be doing or studying. I like Eilana's recommendation, it's a great way to bring needed balance, and it's also good training for your willpower (the stopping after you've reached the time-limit you've set part).
