Time and tide wait for no man;
The sea, eternal and vast, echoes across endless chasms
as water spirals down into the deep void where
Life
seems to be an unnatural element.
All things are suspended in the ebb and flow
waiting, watching, learning
in a deep and thoughtful silence
that has lasted, is lasting, will last
beyond Man’s last breath and the glassing of His eyes.

Who can say they truly know the depths of the Deep?
Who can say they have seen the Void, walked its paths,
flowed along its currents,
and not been immutably changed by the experience
until they are no longer Man, but something
Other?
The water is all things to all Men
and yet we cannot describe it adequately enough,
cannot encapsulate it with meager minds
whose words eddy helplessly in the face of the One who rules it all.

Dark water cleanses self and Shadow
as the soul is lifted from the weakness of the flesh,
ancient eyes watching over the process as they have thousands of times before.
They know you, deeply;
how is it you do not know them?
How is it that you are only beginning to remember,
at the edges of your cognizance,
wisps and shades of what has passed, is passing, will pass?

If you hold the shell to your ear, you might hear the whisper—
yet you are still unsure if you want to hear the words,
longed for,
yearned for,
hoped for—
But frightening, dire, earth-shattering
as the currents that wash away the banks of the river
and the great sides of the lonely mountain.

The Deep River is always changing, and you are learning
to flow with the current and not to fight against it—
but can you keep from being swept away?
Keep yourself from
!
.......................losing yourself
!
in the endless depth of that gaze
looking upon you from a great distance which seems
as if you could simply

...............Jump

and be caught in a whirlpool
of time, of tide,
of dreams, of fears,

.......of love.

Time and tide waits for no man,
and yet it waits for thee:
Never still, never ceasing,
but longing,
yearning,
hoping,

Waiting

for you to remember
and make the leap into the depths
you once called Home.

“If you really want to do something, you'll find a way. If you don't, you'll find an excuse.” – Jim Rohn

"The Master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried."

Do not rely on ANYTHING, unexamined. If It does not seem to fit, ask about it. If it ultimately degrades or dishonors or holds you back, it is bad for you, so remove it from your life. If it takes from you and never gives back, it is a leech. Discard it. In magick rely only on your own work: What you have seen and done and used for your own self and in your own way. Only keep what in your own estimation is worth keeping. (Hellcat's Rules Of Satanic Magick)"

Don't get too close. It's Dark inside. It's where my Demons hide!

Very well written poem. :devilclap: It was moving and well executed. Loved the flow--your creation, itself as a poem, was very active like the surface movement of water. Loved it!
