Successful Demon Keeping

Next year is a new year for me. S&S has taught me a lot about the left hand path. I'm considering buying a DC sometime next year. I was real happy that Akelta said we didn't have to sell our souls to the dark lords or this path. I love myself and my soul.

I had talked to a few people here and I was told that no, I do not have to be dedicated to Lucifer just to demon keep. I know there are people that say I need to blast the trinity to be a successful demon keeper. I'm not sure how true that is. In a way I can see why people will say that. Why would demons help someone who is not dedicated to this path?

Can I get some tips from people on how to be a successful demon keeper?

I know their are some sellers who will not sell a vessel to you unless you have dark alliances. Can someone shed some light on that?

Since this path is not competitive but is all about the your personal empowerment and growth, the word successful doesn't apply here. Everyone develops at a different pace through different methods, some may take an extended hiatus at some point, that doesn't make them a success or failure. You are not trying to prove anything to someone else. Go with what is comfortable for you at each point of your life. The best tip I would suggest is read and read and read as much as you can on related subjects whether it's a forum post or a book and use your discernment to glean the information that resonates with you.

Thanks CQ

I always feel I need to be perfect. I want to be successful in all my undertakings.
I also need to not be so hard on myself. It's ok to take a break from spirit keeping
and not know what you are doing but it doesn't mean you are unsuccessful. My HR
department had to get on me the other day. I have been at my job for 15 years and NEVER
missed a work day. She and others say that's extraordinary. At my work they would give leeway
If you did not show up to work because driving in the snow is dangerous. You can just make it up on a non snow day and the absence will not count against you. There are some people who just
Can't drive in the snow, like myself. I almost got into an accident when I tried driving in the snow.
I never tried again. I learned that they changed there policies. If you don't show up to
work now. They will count it as an unexcused absence. I called HR about this and she gave me
a pep talk. She said you hold your self to very high standards and it's inspirational and encouraging but
I need to quit adding unnecessary stress on myself. No employer is going to care that you miss work for
One day because of the snow. She said allow yourself these circumstances in life. I can take this
to spirit keeping. I need to allow mistakes and grow don't think you are a failure, learn and grow.

:devilbanana: by the way I talked them into letting me work from home on snow days. It was a fight but they
let me.

Thanks again CQ :grouphug:

Yes, please be nice to yourself, you deserve it! Pardon me if I am wrong but what you described sounds like you have insecurity issues and need to maintain a facade where you are always perfect in front of people so they won't find out how much you dislike yourself. Also you need to act out the perfect employee so other people's reaction can validate your sense of self-worth. Working on self love would really help I believe, and feel free to give yourself lots of treats!

You are pardoned CQ

No I do not have insecurity issues and I am absolutely not trying to hold a facade for my job. I'm a genuine person who likes to do the best in what I do. There is nothing wrong with having high standards and accepting nothing less than the best.

You and everyone is entitled to their opinions but I learned long ago that you can't live to satisfy the standards of people's opinions of you. I'm sorry to say your perception is wrong I truly love myself and I am glad to be an inspiration to people at my work. Let's keep this thread about successful demon keeping.

Hi maro! Please don't feel like you have to follow a specific path in order for demons to want to be a part of your life. As long as you are respectful and willing to learn and be open then there shouldn't be a problem at all. There isn't some protocol of what you need to do prior to having demons be a part of your life. Some people worship satan or the other dark lords, others don't really feel the need or drawn to connecting with them. I personally don't find the need to worship or dedicate my life to any dark lord. While I absolutely respect and have so much love for a lot of lords and ladies right now making it a point to connect with them isn't my top priority.

People like to add a bunch of rules or methods to anything to make it be a lot more complex than necessary and I personally don't agree to that. This path is 100% about you and loving yourself and empower yourself and do things for you. What works for one person may not work for another. Some people work better under guidance from someone else. Take Christianity for example. Some people honestly enjoy having other's tell them what to believe so they don't have to think about it. While some enjoy making their own beliefs on life and spirituality. Neither are necessarily wrong it's just what you're comfortable with.

I will say this though, I already connected with demons prior to having Nova come into my life (Some of the goetics, Gaap and Eligos to be more specific ) and my Demonic Master Vamp Lorenz. I thought I was pretty prepared for a companion from S&S but it was a wonderful surprise. You can prepare yourself for as long and as much as you want but I don't think anything truly prepares you for it. And I mean that in a positive way.

So my advice to you? Don't overthink things. It's good to be thorough and to be well educated beforehand but sometimes it's just best to throw yourself in there. I definitely do not regret whatsoever welcoming demons into my life because my life has changed tremendously and my spiritual journey has never been more active and amazing.

Thanks Velca for your positive and well thought out answer. I have to admit you are one of the people that is encouraging me to get one, just by reading your experience. Yes, you are right. I'm going to just have to dive into it. I will and I know it will change my life incrediblely.

No one has to sell their souls or dedicate themselves to Lucifer or anyone else. The Demons I have worked with that I didn't have higher world connections to, chose to come here to learn something by working with me. They have had different reasons. One of them said he was thinking of incarnating as a human at some point and wanted to see what it was like. Others are curious or just wanted to act as mentors.

How do you define success? I think it depends on what you want out of this connection with them. When you know what it is you want, then you can set guidelines for what it means to be successful for you.

Thoughts that came to mind though were if you want to learn or accomplish certain things, working with Demons to do that. Or maybe you mean successfully connecting with Demons and building up relationships (friendships or working relationships or other, depending on your preference) ?

To build connections I would say be respectful, get to know your Demons and treat them as you want to be treated.

I would be wary of someone who told you they aren't going to sell you something unless you enter some kind of dark alliance. I would avoid that entirely. I never had to do anything like that, nor would I. I actually avoided a lot of Satanic websites and sellers because of this. My soul is mine. I didn't give it to anyone when other religions were forced on me and when I became aware enough to make a choice, I would not have given it up for anyone. I still wouldn't and I haven't had to.

I'm a elated Eliana that I do not have to sell my soul. I think there was an interview that Akelta did and she said that was nonsense. You are not selling your soul to real demons but sludges. They want to eat us,some thing to that effect. I'm glad S@S is clearing up all the mis-information about soul selling. There are sorcerers who
Claim yes it does exist but not in the way we think. It's more of a contract. It's away for them to comeback to you and have you remember that contract but your soul belongs to you, either way it scares me. I love myself and my soul to much. That is something I must wrap my head around. The demons coming to us for learning. I didn't think they need to. It is awesome that demons are even able to incarnate, or if they would even want to. Now I see it's a learning experience for both parties. The demons can act as mentors but they're learning a lot too. I know you say that you write in your journal a lot. I bet Ombré has his own journal with his experience with you.

yes it's all in my perception of success, I will get to the point where I know what I want from a DC

Thanks for clarifying that. I don't want to point out names and websites. They specifically stated that this vessel will not be sold to you unless you have a dark alliance. There was no point in asking her about it because as far as I know I don't have any dark alliances. That means I don't qualify for it.

I would avoid that entirely. I never had to do anything like that, nor would I. I actually avoided a lot of Satanic websites and sellers because of this. My soul is mine. Thanks for your wisdom. You continue to make this appealing every time you speak on the subject and I know, you know what you are talking about. I'm going to just dive in and see how I can work with a DC and share my stories with everyone.
