Recipie: Portabello Burgers

-6 whole Portebella mushrooms.
-2 lbs ground sirloin
-1 1/2 tsp salt
-1/4 tsp, garlic, pepper, and onion powder
-2 eggs
-1 cup panko crumbs

~Mix meat, eggs, and seasonings in bowl. Add panko crumbs and mix.

~Chop gills and stems off mushrooms and sauté with olive oil in frying pan. Then mix into meat mixture.

~Rub olive oil on the outside of the mushroom caps.

~Stuff mushroom and bake 350 20 min. broil for 5 minutes.

Alternatively, bake burgers at 350 for 20 mins, and then top them with marina sauce and cheese and broil for 5 min.



Makes 6 1/3 lb burgers.

Mmmmm I love stuffed mushrooms ^^ I use sausage and cheese, and other ingredients in mine. These sound yummy as well.

Sounds very good! :) Portobello is sometimes used as a meat substitute by vegetarians. Yummy!
