I'm the same way, Apro--it's very difficult for anything to get into my dreams and manipulate them, even when they have express permission and written invitations. I certainly seem to be a challenge for people to control my dreams/visions.
As far as demons and imps appearing human, I know that most of them CAN, depending on the mental preference of their partner, but I always see them in their 'true' form... And some of them are very decidedly inhuman, even beyond the traditional view of semi humanoid demons. It's really interesting how much our own brain and personal wiring affects perceptions of the unseen.
