To be without any though

What exactly means the condition without any thought (during that kind of meditation)? I am trying hard to achieve that but the farest i came for now is awareness of present moment with full focus at something, and one thought which just can't stop: "Don't think! Don't think! You should not-to-think."
I have tried to relax and ignore that tought, but it was still there, and another started to appear in this relaxed condition too, unfortunately...
Any advice please?
