water and wood beings

About a week ago I dreamed of a flowing waterfall in a tall and tight corridor. The surrounding structure was wood and not stone. As I waded in the stream beneath the waterfall, it soon became apparent that the wood was something else entirely. It seemed to come alive and move. Then I saw faces in the wood, then like a jigsaw, the pieces of the wall around the waterfall came out and were beings. They were all about two to three feet in height, and had a small body attached to a large wood mask, but that mask was the face of these unique beings. They moved, jumped in the water and danced. It was very tribal.

Then one was being initiated. He jumped into the stream and a large one came out under the waterfall. He was very large, about twelve feet in height. In their eyes were recesses of water, and water seemed to suspend in their sockets like large water filled bubbles. He came down and the small one being initiated laid down before him and opened his jaw. The large one stood above and did the same and water just poured out into the and on the small being. Then they finished and continued to celebrate.

The waterfall appeared to be a gateway and the beings looked as if they were guardians. A mixture of water and wood. I asked Z what these where and he commented they were water etins and do in fact guard a gateway. Wild...

Yeah I looked up etin and they are mentioned in the prose edda as giants. But most of them appeared smaller, while the one in charge was large. Maybe to my imp Z they are like giants, hehe..He is so much fun.

That is an awesome experience! I have seen them on a couple of occasions but never have I seen an initiation. I created a place when I was younger, that I have since expanded on. It is made up of a forest, an ocean, barren dirt lands, a desert and a mountain range(waterfall with cave behind it as well, I fill the cave with divine energy while im there to meditate). I put a lighthouse off to the side of the beach. It can be reached via a path from the beach which lead along the side of the beach and forest, then through a garden. When I first started turning on the lighthouse light I started to notice beings like the ones your describing. They seem to be very loving and naturally curious about there surroundings and the things in it. They seem to add a certain quality of life where they are as well. My forest seems to be much more "alive" since they arrived. Please do share if you find out more!!!

Wow, I like what you created Christian. I'll have to let you know if I encounter then again. They were playful and felt more underworldly, between earth and water as elements.
