It beautiful! It's in a city park, but not your average city park. Most of it has been allowed to "grow wild" to promote the growth of native plant species. A creek flows through the middle of it and there are no trails on the area considered flood plain because, well, it spends a lot of time under water. It a natural bowl, sixty or seventy feet in diameter and perhaps eight or ten feet deep. to the south is a Pondarosa Pine that is at least 200 years old. Directly east are three giant Western Cottonwoods, to the north,a dense field of willows, to the east varied bushes and young Norway Maples.
It is completely invisible from any trail at this time of year, which means I'll have a hard time finding it in spring and summer, but then, so will anyone else.
I cast a magic circle as best I knew how, made easier by the fact that the bowl already had a perimeter. No permanent alter is possible, so I set up a make-shift on a log with His sigil, hand-drawn and paperclipped to a small photo album to keep it from blowing away, a candle inside a water tumbler, to keep it from blowing out, three sticks of sandalwood incense, African bone "hair pipes" (the only bone objects I had on hand) and small hand carved red and black skulls from my fav bead shop.
Having never done this before, I sat comfortably on a log with the alter in front of me and closed my my eyes to just breath and listen. The only sound was that of the creek flowing over stones about twenty feet away and the cawing of my beloved crows. I decided to mix chanting His enn with Kundalini breathing exercises, at which point I got a huge rush through my feet, up my legs, through my core and out my Crown Chakra.
I'll leave it others as to what that might mean, but I thought it was a good thing. I mixed seven chants with seven breathing exercises, which I would do until either the candle went out, or the incense burned down. As it turned out, the candle went out as the incense was nearly gone, so I kept chanting until the incense went out.
Now...This is important to say, but really, really hard to describe. There is a quality of sunlight that I associate with Him. It is sunlight alone, no artificial light source, in my experience, has equaled it. But it only can be seen when the cloud cover is....just so.... Not dense overcast, or that dreary white-out, which I hate. It is something equally sensed as seen. I sense it every time I look at the sigils in the Demonic Encyclopedia, I sensed it in a dream I posted here way back when, when I had the experience of something outside myself entering my dream. The "presence" in that dream had that quality of light.
When the incense had burned down, the bowl I was in, the whole area around me was bathed in that light.
I took it as a good sign. I shall return there as often as I can.
I Found a nature spot to reach out to Lord Satan!!!

Wow I am glad to hear you had such a refreshing experience. I find it cool when I hear of you guys travelling out to nature, especially when it involves doing ritual work. Id love to set up an outside altar sometime myself, but where I currently live its just not a possibility, dence big town ( recently upgraded to small city status ), which means humans cover every inch of it. Its intriguing you had that sunlight experience, and I dont know why I feel surprised to hear satan being linked to a light source such as the sun, to me I see Lucifer as the light, and satan more night based/perhaps moonlight, but then again I havent had much experience with him so there is probably a great deal of information there that I have yet to discover for myself.

This sounds like quite a lovely experience, I'm glad you were able to find such a great spot! The way you describe the whole scene, it is easy to picture. I hope that i can find a place like that at some point. Thanks for sharing.
