Suggestion from Lucifer? Who to start with...

Hi all,

Another post from this newbie. This morning I heard in my mind, "Night daughter," by which I figure I was being named. During the night/early hours of the morning, the name of Bune kept going through my head. I have asked Lucifer if I'm to work with him, the head being of that whole spirit realm and how, in some ways, I find it odd to go straight to the top but then again, so do you with many other spiritual systems. So, I am guessing his answer is to try contacting Bune?

Any thoughts? I would ideally like to work with someone who deals with crystals and maybe herbs but any start is a good start and also, I would like to better develop myself in general.

My first thought when reading this was actually Lilith. In fact, I read this, then went on to read other threads, and kept getting "Night Daughter means Lilith" in my brain, so I decided to come back here. She might be someone to investigate, or at least research. There is a lot of material out there.

As for Bune, if you feel incredibly drawn to work with him, go for it. Research him a bit and see what aspects might be drawing you to him. He does work with spirits of the dead, but also material wealth. The Modern Goetic Grimoire by Rufus Opus actually discusses working with Bune a lot, since that is the primary goetic lord he works with, so you might want to check it out.

Hi people and thanks for the replies! It never occurred to me to consider Lilith, after all, I'm only new so not sure if I am up to that yet. I have read that Bune (on another forum) is beginner friendly, can't recall if Lilith is or not. Interesting, that would make sense but maybe it is to consider both?

In any case, I am trying to learn and read where and when I can. So interesting, so fascinating, all this stuff is mind boggling and I find it incredible that I've come from a very light path and even Xtianity to here! Does my head in a bit but learning is good. That seems to fit with Bune, need to read a bit more on Lilith but I have been intrigued by her for many years - the only thing stopping me is people have warned me to be careful with her that she can really f**k things up. That is something I want to avoid if possible!

Don't get caught up in who is and isn't beginner friendly. Learn about the approach and the respect needed when first approaching the Lords and Ladies. When you're ready you will know.

Any demon can f**k your life up if you aren't careful and approach them disrespectfully, any deity can.

Who are you drawn to? Which demons align with something that you wish to learn? Start there. Don't get caught up in trying to connect with a demon just because they are "beginner friendly." Most of the demons from the Goetia and who are talked about have a decent amount of human interaction so there's a basis of understanding. Also, read all you can about the demons that you're wishing to approach, find threads here about other people's experiences with them. Really take the time to know what you're getting into.

Working with demons will fundamentally change your life. When you actually take the time to learn and implement their lessons, the real world effects are beyond astonishing. If you asked the me I was before I started working with demons, I would tell you that where I am right now, with my success, my shop, everything was impossible. I could not have achieved this without them. I also didn't start with a typically described as beginner friendly Demon Lord.

What will make the most impact is being ready. Be ready for change, for growth, for harder lessons in life. They will answer, but you have to be ready. Make sure that your spiritual foundation is strong, that you can effectively cast a circle, that you know what the demon you're trying to contact likes and that you've made a sacred space to share with them.

I agree with RO: Night Daughter gives major Lilith vibes. I first worked with Lilith not too long after beginning down my path. This was mainly because I had a reading done by Phantasmagoria (I think that's what the shop is called) and they told me that I apparently had a connection to her, I'm guessing because at that point I had a being from her realm bound to me. She was very, very kind and sociable. I would describe her energy as a "cool mom" - at least that's the way she came to me. She was also one of the few "lord" level beings that I could see (the others being Lord Lucifer and Lord Sitri - oddly enough). So, in that aspect, I would say she is very "beginner friendly". However, I should say that technically, no demons/lords are "beginner friendly" because working with any of them demands a level of competence and seriousness. If you feel drawn to Bune, then work with Bune. If you want to learn about Lilith, you could try contacting Lilith. It never hurts to build good rapport with multiple lords. Just approach them with respect and reverence. That said, I found that it is crucial to still "be yourself" - it helped me to get to know the lords better and I'm sure vice versa as well. Unfortunately, this approach didn't fly with every Dark Lord (Lord Sallos, to name one) but maybe that's just me.

TL;DR: 1. If you're unsure which entities to approach, try to get a reading done to see which lord(s) are most aligned with/to you. 2. Don't be afraid to contact who you feel drawn to. Show respect but be authentic.

My mind is spinning with it all.

I feel as though my spiritual beliefs are evolving and changing quite a lot. This is a strange transition for me, from the so called "lighter" side. Still, I guess that is one of the lessons, not to get caught up in those polarising labels, I'm led to believe that these beings are both light and dark and neither/neutral. They are who/what they are, just like the fae. That I managed to get my head around with no problem, regarding some deities and nature spirits, etc, that they just are. There is no black, white, grey, it all just is...

Okay, I've got an update. Still unsure which way to go. Thinking of doing a Belial gateway ritual (got from BALG forum) which is supposed to help with communication/3rd eye, etc.

Last night I sensed a presence behind me, not scary, seemed curious if anything. It seemed like a very tall shadowy figure with bull horns. Over 6 foot tall, possibly closer to 7 foot but 6-7 foot anyway. It seemed very unintrusive. I was surprised to sense this as I didn't expect it but somehow I got the image in my mind's eye. This doesn't always happen to me. I was quite relaxed, it was getting late-ish and I had had only a couple of alcoholic drinks over a few hours, not drunk, just relaxed but hardly noticing any influence. So, I don't think I was imaging it. Then again, sometimes I wonder if its all in my head! That its imagination. Still, it was a curious event. Is it possible it is a specific demon? Or could it be a guardian/protector/guide of some sort? The possibility of Bael/Baal occurred to me - he originally was a bull like fertility god, I think. Not really sure but the name has come up. Still, perhaps its best not to get hung up on who yet?

I am considering others such as Orobas and Stolas but it is hard to decide which way to go, too early yet anyway. I guess I need to get hold of some of those books people have suggested and read more, perhaps even do some simple rituals.

I am not sure if doing a gateway working, much less with King Belial, would be a good option for now. King Belial's primary domain is politics. So I could see working with him for social maneuvers, favors climbing the ladder, etc. It is proper to have an offering when dealing with him, even in simple rites. He is one of the 9 demonic divines of demonolatry as well, a lord of Earth as an element.

As for not knowing which to pick: that is perfectly fine. You can explore and work with demons without being bound to just dealing with one, and it comes highly recommended to experiment and try the different energies, etc, before even considering whom might be your patron.

Prince Orobas does quite a bit of vision work, so you may actually be able to ask for help developing your third eye from him. My go to for psychic development is Prince Vassago, but I understand that he is not for everyone.

Definitely keep exploring! There is a wonderful world of demons out there just waiting for you to find them.
