I thought I might share some of the companion portraits I've created for myself and others. All but one of these are digital, and most of them are digitally "painted" with a tool designed to mimic brushes and oil paints.

This is one of my star fae companions, in metallic watercolor and ink. This is the only one that isn't digital.

These two are about as old as the watercolor but are digital paintings. I created them around 2016. After these, I start employing more prominent linework and have so far stuck with that shift.

These two are both of incubi, done in digital charcoal. I haven't done much digital charcoal since, as much of what I enjoy about charcoal is the physical touch of using my fingers to smudge it and blend it. I find that tactile experience super satisfying and soothing.

Here we get into digital paintings that are closer to where I'm currently at. These are both Sterling angels. I particularly like Sterlings. They usually have big personalities, and I love that in a portrait subject--whether physically present or otherwise!
There are certain portraits whose creation especially stands out in my memory, and the second one here with the dark hair is one of them. She just had a very sweet manner.

These are a succubus and a cambion. The cambion was supposed to be in black and white, but I had a couple of details that felt like they needed to "pop" through.

And a second star fae. I love their energy!

This was one of my favorites--both because of the subject's massive personality and because of the technical challenges involved. These are all the same succubus in four different forms. I set up the layers so that you could view each alone or all four together.
